Trafficking in human beings - EPO - Joint FEMM-LIBE meeting on 2 September In the framework of the procedure with joint committees, FEMM and LIBE committees held a joint meeting on 2 September. The two items on the agenda were: Trafficking in human beings and the European Protection Order. The meeting began with an orientation vote on the 169 amendments tabled to the draft report on Trafficking in human beings. This was followed by a consideration of the 141 amendments tabled to the draft report on the European Protection Order.
Parliament's position on the 2011 Draft Budget as modified by the Council At its meeting on 2 September, FEMM committee voted on the budgetary amendments proposed by the draftsperson and further Members, including the figures and remarks to next year's budget.

Esitlus ja pädevused
Komisjoni vastutusalasse kuuluvad: - naiste õiguste määratlemine, arendamine ja kaitse Euroopa Liidus ning seonduvad ühenduse meetmed;
- naiste õiguste edendamine kolmandates riikides;
- võrdsete võimaluste poliitika, kaasa arvatud meeste ja naiste võrdõiguslikkus seoses nende võimalustega tööturul ja kohtlemisega tööl;
- sool põhineva diskrimineerimise kõikide avaldumisvormide kõrvaldamine;
- soolise võrdõiguslikkuse rakendamine ja edasiarendamine kõikides poliitikavaldkondades;
- naiste õigusi käsitlevate rahvusvaheliste lepingute ja konventsioonide rakendamine ning sellele järgnev tegevus;
- teabepoliitika naisküsimuses.
