CONT Future Role of the European Court of Auditors: Challenges ahead and possible reform

On 30.05.12, the Committee will hold a hearing on the "Future role of the European Court of Auditors: Challenges ahead and possible reform" (Rapporteur: Inés AYALA SENDER (S&D, ES). Speakers include current and former President and Members of the European Court of Auditors, a representative from the University of Nanterre and the former Internal Auditor of the European Commission.

On 29.05.12, the Committees are holding a joint public hearing on "Synergies between EU cohesion policy and Horizon 2020". The Members, together with experts from different parts of Europe, will discuss ways how to combine best their forces in order to make the European Research Area become a reality and thus induce sustainable growth in all Member States.

IMCO TRAN eCall: a new 112 service for citizens - Joint meeting

On 30.05.12, at 11.00, the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Transport and Tourism will consider the 100 amendments submitted to the draft report on support for an EU-wide eCall service in electronic communication networks for the transmission of in-vehicle emergency calls based on 112 ("ecalls") (Olga SEHNALOVÁ (S&D, CZ) - Dieter-Lebrecht KOCH (EPP, DE)).

INTA Consideration and votes on Peru and Colombia trade agreement

On 29.05.12, the Committee is going to consider a draft recommendation on the Trade Agreement between the EU and Colombia and Peru. Members will also vote on the motion for resolution regarding an oral question on respect for human rights and labour standards in relation to the agreement.
