BUDG Hearing on the future financing of the CAP

The Committee on Budgets is organising a hearing on the future financing of the Common Agricultural Policy on 20.06.13 with the participation of the think tank Momagri. This think tank specialises in providing analyses and solutions to key international agricultural issues.

The Legal Affairs Committee will vote on the consultation report on matrimonial property regimes, the Statute of the Court of Justice of the EU, and the opinion on the legislative proposal regarding electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions. The meeting will take place on 20.06.13.

Following a consideration of compromise amendments on 19.06.13, the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs will vote on the legislative report on the posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services on 20.06.13. The general objective of the Commission proposal is to improve the current legislation, in place since 1996.

ENVI Vote on ETS backloading and fluorinated greenhouse gases

The Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will vote on the following legislative files: the Emissions Trading Scheme backloading amendments, tabled to the original Commission proposal after the plenary rejection in April; and the flourinated greenhouse gases regulation proposing to reduce non-CO2 gas emissions. Both votes are essential for the overall EU target to reduce emissions by 80-95 % on 1990 levels by 2050 and thus slowing the rate of climate change. The meeting will take place on 19.06.13.

AGRI CAP reform: report on state of play with Irish Presidency

Parliament's rapporteurs will report on the progress made so far in trilogue negotiations on the CAP reform files: direct payments to farmers and rural development (Luis Manuel Capoulas Santos - S&D, PT), the common market organisation (Michel Dantin - EPP, FR), and horizontal rules and financing (Giovanni La Via - EPP, IT). The meeting will take place on 19.06.13 in the presence of Irish Presidency representatives.
