Rejser


Et udvalg kan beslutte at arrangere rejser til en medlemsstat, et land uden for EU eller til internationale konferencer. Rejser foretages som led i udøvelsen af de beføjelser, der er tillagt udvalget, og hvori et begrænset antal af udvalgets medlemmer kan deltage. Udvalgene kan også i højst tre dage sende en delegation på tre medlemmer til de agenturer, som udvalget har hovedansvaret for. The delegation, led by INTA Chair, Mr Bernd Lange, and the Standing Rapporteur, Mrs Inmaculada Rodríguez-Piñero Fernández (S&D, ES), travelled to Chile to meet a number of key government figures including VM Foreign Affairs and Ministers in charge of economy, agriculture, mining, environment, labour and gender. They also had exchanges with Chilean legislators, civil society organisations, representatives of the industry and indigenous people. (Læs mere)

INTA Members travelled to the OECD to discuss trade related issues such as global forum on steel overcapacity, anti-corruption in trade agreements and global value chains. The delegation will meet with OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria and attend the presentation of the 2018 OECD Economic Outlook. (Læs mere)

30-10-2018 - Joint INTA/AFET delegation to the G-20 Parliamentary Conference in Buenos Aires

This is the first time ever that such a Parliamentary Conference on the margins of G-20 took place. In addition to the participation at the Conference, the delegation, chaired jointly by AFET Chairman David McAllister (PPE) and INTA Vice-Chair Iuliu Winkler (PPE), had series of meetings with the government, the Congress, civil society and business organisations. During the mission INTA Members assessed the implementation of EU-SADC Economic Partnership Agreement that has been provisionally applied since October 2016. In addition, the Members took stock with their counterparts of bilateral EU and South Africa trade and investment relations. They also met with civil society, chambers of commerce, land reform and trade law experts among others. (Læs mere)

08-10-2018 - INTA mission to Tunisia

From 8 to 9 October 2018, a delegation of INTA Committee visited Tunisia in order to engage about the ongoing negotiations for a EU-Tunisia Trade Agreement. Members met with the Tunisia's Secretary of State for Trade, the Minister for Agriculture, Members of the Tunisian Parliament, and representatives of professional associations, such as UTICA, and of Trade –Unions, such as UGTT. The outcome of this mission was be presented by the INTA Chair during the meeting on 11 October. (Læs mere)

Members of INTA Committee, led by the Chair, Mr Bernd Lange, travelled to Japan for talks with the government, Parliamentarians and stakeholders. Discussions during the mission prepared the ground for a vote in committee and later in plenary where the European Parliament will have the final say on this comprehensive agreement. (Læs mere)

INTA Committee fact finding delegation travelled to Western Sahara on 3-4 September to find out whether an extension of preferential trade tariffs to the territory, as proposed by the Commission and the Council, would benefit and enjoy the support of the population living in the territory. The modernisation of the EU-Mexico ‘Global Agreement’

During a three-day visit Members of INTA Committee discussed with their counterparts the agreement reached between the Commission and Mexico on 21 April 2018. The delegation was set to meet state officials at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, and Public Administration, sectoral technical ministries responsible for, among others, environment and intellectual property. Members also held talks with civil society organizations and social partners. (Læs mere)

Members of INTA Committee visited China for the first time from 7 to 9 May 2018. The purpose of the visit was to engage with high-level Chinese counterparts and European business representatives based in China about ongoing questions related to the EU-China trade relations. (Læs mere)

The mission took place in order to follow-up on Sri Lanka's commitments made in the process of applying for GSP+ status (The Generalized System of Preferences), which was granted to Sri Lanka in May 2017. The visit allowed not only to monitor the implementation of the 27 GSP+ relevant international conventions on the spot, but also to have a first assessment of the impact of the EU's generous unilateral trade preferences on trade and investment relations between the EU and Sri Lanka.
