The European Parliaments’ committees may directly engage in a dialogue with national parliaments at committee level. This may include meetings that bring together MPs and MEPs from corresponding committees, to discuss matters of common concern.

The European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety is inviting Members of national Parliaments to the interparliamentary committee meeting "From COP 21 Paris to 2050: a roadmap towards an innovative low-carbon, resource-efficient Europe".

The meeting will be divided into two sessions: The first session will focus on the "Paris alliance" towards the international climate change conference that will take place in Paris in December 2015 ("COP 21") - challenges, stakes and the role of European environmental diplomacy. The second session will try to look beyond the Paris conference and will discuss the challenges towards an innovative low-carbon and resource-efficient Europe.
