On 28 November 2017, from 09:00 to 12:30, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament organises a hearing on “Agreements and cooperation with third countries on migration management and return”.

The objective of the hearing is to address key elements of the EU external action with third countries on migration management and as regards the EU policy on return, in order to provide the committee with the views of the main actors involved: European Commission, the European External Action Service, EU agencies, NGOs, academics and UN agencies. The hearing will be structured in three panels. The first panel will address the cooperation with third countries and the necessary democratic oversight, in particular as regards the Partnership Framework. The second panel will focus on the Mobility Partnerships as instrument for dialogue and cooperation with partner countries and the third panel will deal with the EU return policy.
