A committee is permitted to organise a hearing with experts, where this is considered essential to its work on a particular subject. Hearings can also be held jointly by two or more committees. Most committees organise regular hearings, as they allow them to hear from experts and hold discussions on the key issues. On 28 January, the JURI Committee is organising a hearing on a Law of Administrative Procedure for the EU, from 9.30 to 12.15. The purpose of the hearing is to present a draft Regulation on the Administrative Procedure of the EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies, drawn up by the Working Group on Administrative Law (chaired by MEP Heidi Hautala). Experts, stakeholders and high-ranking officials from the institutions will participate.

The event will be webstreamed.

Please note that due to limited number of seats, there will be no further registration of external participants.
