On 7 December 2017, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament is organising a public hearing on "The situation in Hungary".

The hearing is part of the preparatory work in the framework of the specific report to be drafted by the Committee under Rule 83, in accordance with Rules 45 and 52, of the Rules of Procedure on the situation in Hungary (as instructed by the Plenary in its resolution of 17 May 2017).
