Public hearing on the internal energy market as a pillar for Energy Union

A public hearing with experts on energy issues will be organised by the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy on 20.04.15. The first debate will focus on the integration of electricity and gas markets, solutions to eliminate obstacles, and ways of enhancing energy security through the Energy Union. The second debate will look at the role of domestic energy production, securing interconnections, the market for electricity from renewables, and markets aspects of emissions reduction.

Exchange of views with Commissioners in ITRE Committee

Committee meeting

On14 April 2015 the ITRE Committee welcomed Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship  and SMEs, and Jonathan Hill, Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union. Mrs Bieńkowska outlined EC strategic goals and industrial policy plans for 2015. Mr Hill presented Green paper on capital Markets Union.

Con la reindustrialización como objetivo principal, la Comisión ITRE centrará su actividad en cuatro ámbitos prioritarios. 

En primer lugar, debemos asegurarnos de que el marco jurídico y económico de la UE permita que el sector industrial europeo sea más innovador. Esta premisa exigirá adaptar y movilizar los programas educativos y de I+D de la UE para responder eficazmente a las necesidades reales del sector industrial.
