The Global Gateway High-Level Education Event on 11 April highlighted the EU's role in transforming global education and bridging skill gaps. The High-Level Event was co-hosted by the European Commission and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU with the participation of a DEVE Member
The outgoing DEVE Committee took stock of the general state of play and outlook with regard to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the Agenda 2030, which is only 6 years away. The discussion with senior UN staff and the Commission took place against the background of two upcoming international events, the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in July and the ‘Summit of the Future’ in September - where the SDGs also feature prominently.
