Third meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group (JPSG) on Europol

In the light of the recent Paris attacks, MEPs vote to make Europol, the European police office, more effective and urge Member States to fully cooperate.

The third meeting of the JPSG will take place 24-25 September 2018 at the European Parliament, Brussels. The meeting that brings together Members of national parliaments and the European Parliament will meet to fulfill the scrutiny and oversight on the activities of Europol including on fundamental rights. The JPSG meets at least twice a year. It is Co-Chaired by the European Parliament and the country holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

A priority debate will be held on the 2019-2021 Multiannual Programming Document and on Europol's contribution to the fight against financial crime, asset recovery and money laundering.
