LIFE working group
With the adoption of the LIFE programme (2014-2020) ENVI coordinators decided to establish a LIFE Working group in charge of following the implementation of the programme.
Thanks to the activities of the WG, Members have had the opportunity to have a clear picture of the main novelties of the new phase of the programme and how it could effectively co-finance projects with European added value aimed at contributing to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation.
The WG held several meetings, open to all the MEPS, with the relevant services of the Commission, the executive agency in charge of the management of the programme (EASME) but also with project beneficiaries and experts. The information gathered has contributed to the knowledge base needed for the drafting of an Oral question and a Motion for Resolution on the mid-term evaluation of LIFE and will be relevant in view of the forthcoming LIFE post 2020 proposal.
