On 22 March, the JURI and EMPL Committees organised a hearing on a "Statute for social and solidarity-based enterprises", from 17.00 to 18.30. The purpose of this hearing was to provide an overview of the current state of the legislation on social and solidarity-based enterprises in Europe and to provide information of how the proliferation of this kind of enterprises could boost employment, improve community welfare and advance economic growth.
