INTA Members held a public hearing on the digital trade opportunities and gave a green light to the further phasing out of duties on the ITC products under an expanded Agreement on the Trade in Information Technology Products (ITA).
Digital trade has been expanding globally and internet technologies have transformed the way goods and services are produced and delivered. The hearing on International Digital Trade focused on the role and potential of digital trade - commerce in products and services delivered via the internet, as well as on its barriers and explored whether the existing trade rules still fit the reality of today.
