Working Group on the Digital Single Market

The IMCO Working Group on the Digital Single Market held an ad-hoc meeting on 19 November 2021 (10:00 - 12:00). The meeting was dedicated to the topic of “Targeted advertising on online platforms". The aim of this ad hoc meeting was to provide input to MEPs on the challenging topic of targeted advertising in IMCO's work on the Digital Services Act and beyond. Please find attached a draft agenda of the meeting.

Background Info:

The IMCO Working Group on the Digital Single Market (IMCO WG on the DSM) was set up by the IMCO Coordinators a long time ago, in 2011, during the 7th Legislature of the European Parliament.

In total, since its creation, 35 meetings of the Working Group have been held already.

On 22 January 2020, the IMCO Coordinators decided to renew the mandate to continue with the works of the WG during the 9th Legislature and nominated MEP Roza Thun (PL) and MEP Svenja Hahn (Renew-DE) as Co-Chairs. Due to the covid-19 crisis, the works were temporarily suspended, then restarted in the meeting of 31 May 2021.
The meeting of 19 November will be the second one of this mandate.
