Cooperation in tax matters with European jurisdictions

On 9 May 2017, from 09h00 - 12h30, the PANA Inquiry Committee will hold a public hearing on the “Cooperation in tax matters with European jurisdictions”. During this hearing, Members will discuss with representatives of the Channel Islands, Gibraltar and Madeira about their tax regimes.
The purpose of this hearing is to get a better understanding of the tax regimes in the respective countries and especially their relationships with the EU in this matter. Moreover, a closer look at the state of play of cooperation between the EU and the jurisdictions participating will be discussed as well as further ways to enhance cooperation. The representatives of the Channel Islands, Gibraltar and Madeira will also enlighten the Committee about their governments' role in fighting against money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion.
