Deprived  
EMPL Committee Vote on the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived

Compromise amendments to the legislative report regarding the fund for European aid to the most deprived will be voted by the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs on 20.05.13 in Strasbourg. Once set in place, the fund would address the most severe forms of poverty and food deprivation, homelessness and material deprivation of children, and support social reintegration of the most deprived persons.

Harmonisation of the laws of the Member States: pyrotechnic articles on the market  
IMCO Plenary vote on pyrotechnic articles

Parliament will vote on the legislative report on pyrotechnic articles during its plenary sitting of 22.05.13. This proposal is part of the New Legislative Framework Alignment Package for goods which includes nine directives. The vote in plenary will take place following negotiations with Council, aiming to avoiding a legal vacuum concerning airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners.

ECON Committee vote on Recovery and Resolution Directive

The Committee on Economic and Monetary affairs will vote on the legislative report regarding the proposed directive on bank recovery and resolution on 20.05.13 in Strasbourg. Once adopted, the directive will be one of the key pillars in the reform of EU banking legislation, together with the capital requirements and the single supervisor legislative packages.

Pensions  
EMPL Adequate, safe and sustainable pensions – plenary debate and vote

The European Parliament will discuss on 20.05.13 and vote the following day on the non-legislative report of Ms Ria OOMEN-RUIJTEN (EPP, NL) on adequate, safe and sustainable pensions at its May Plenary session. The report was prepared in response to the Commission communication on the same subject and calls for a number of measures related to retirement policies and pension schemes.
