On 26 February, AFCO organised, jointly with PETI, a hearing on the "Lessons to be drawn from the implementation of the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) regulation". This hearing gave the opportunity to evaluate all aspects linked to the functioning of the ECI, giving the floor to ECI organizers.

Dobrodošli na spletnem mestu Odbora za ustavne zadeve.

V zakonodajnem obdobju 2014–2019 se bomo osredotočili na institucionalne vidike, ki določajo prihodnost EU. Še naprej bomo ocenjevali izvajanje novosti iz Lizbonske pogodbe ter te ocene uporabili kot osnovo za nadaljnji razvoj. Na podlagi ocene ukrepov, sprejetih po krizi leta 2008, bomo tudi razmislili, ali je potrebna nova reforma Pogodbe. Ta reforma bi imela dva namena, in sicer vključiti določbe medvladne Pogodbe o stabilnosti, usklajevanju in upravljanju v ekonomski in monetarni uniji v zakonodajo EU, za kar bo morda treba spremeniti pogodbo, ter zagotoviti demokratično legitimnost za gospodarsko upravljanje evroobmočja.  Nadaljnji izziv bo zagotoviti, da močnejša integracija evroobmočja ne bo spodkopala celovitosti EU.
