The workshop aimed to highlight the relationship between cardiovascular diseases and a number of lifestyle choices. The workshop was divided into two parts: the first part covered the most up-to-date scientific, medical and socio-economic research assessing the effects of lifestyle choices on CVDs. The second part provided an outline of the EU’s current policy and advocacy programme and activities landscape.
The workshop was organised by the Policy Department for Economic, Scientific and Quality of Life Policies at the request of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI).
The workshop was held on 9 October from 09.00 - 11.00.
