Empowering parliaments and enforcing citizens’ rights in EU law

The Committees on Legal Affairs and on Petitions is holding an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting on 27.11.18, regarding the empowerment of parliaments and the enforcement of citizens’ rights in the implementation and application of EU law. The debates focus on transposition, implementation and application of EU law, and on the role of complaints to ombudsmen and petitions to parliaments to detect EU law breaches.
