In accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the European Union (Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 966/2012 as amended by Regulation 2015/1929 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 October 2015), and its implementing rules, the European Parliament is required to issue invitations to tender in order to purchase goods, services and works.

The invitations to tender referred to in this section are publicised by means of contract notices published in the S series of the Official Journal of the European Union and can be consulted online in the TED database, which is updated daily on the internet.
