Meeting of 5 July 2017, Strasbourg 

Meeting included an exchange of views on after the fall of Mosul - avoiding State Capture in Iraq with
  • Mitchell Belfer, President of the Euro-Gulf Information Centre;
  • Jason Ireland, independent security consultant;
  • Ambassador Dr Jawad al-Hindawy, Head of the Iraq Mission to the European Union.

Meeting of 14 December 2016, Strasbourg 

The meeting included an exchange of views on "What future for Iraq post-Isis/Daesh?", with:
  • 2016 Sakharov Prize Laureates Nadia Murad and Lamiya Aji Bashar,
  • Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister Nazar Khairallah.

Meeting of 26 October 2016, Strasbourg 

The meeting included an exchange of views on Re-taking Mosul: the fall-out and the humanitarian crisis in Iraq with:
  • Municipalities Minister Newrooz Mawlood Amin of the KurdistanRegional Government;
  • François Reybet-Degat, Deputy Director of the UNHCR MENA Bureau;
  • Elisabeth Koek, Advocacy Advisor for the Norwegian Refugee Council in Iraq.

Meeting of 14 July 2016, Brussels 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the current political situation in Iraq with
  • William Spencer, Executive Director of the Institute for International Law and Human Rights.
The meeting also included a presentation of the report "No Way Home: Iraq's minorities on the verge of disappearance", by Alison Smith, Legal Counsel and Director of the International Criminal Justice Programme of No Peace Without Justice.

Meeting of 11 May 2016, Strasbourg 

Vice-Chair Brian Hayes chaired the meeting instead of Chair David Campbell Bannerman as the Chair wished to take an active part in the discussion in this meeting.

The meeting included an exchange of views on Iraq-Iran relations post-nuclear deal with Daniel Schwammenthal, Director of the Transatlantic Institute of the American Jewish Congress.

Joint D-IQ and D-IR meeting of 11 May 2016, Strasbourg 

This was a joint meeting with the Delegation for relations with Iraq and the Delegation for relations with Iran.

The meeting included an exchange of views on Iraq-Iran relations post-nuclear deal with:
  • H.E. Ambassador Dr Jawad al-Hindawy, Head of the Iraq Mission to the European Union;
  • Mr Adnan Tabatabai, CEO of the Centre for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient.

Meeting of 25 November 2015, Strasbourg 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the preparation for the upcoming sixth EU-Iraq Interparliamentary meeting with:
  • H.E. Jawad Al-Hindawi, Ambassador of Iraq at Brussels;
  • Delawar Ajgeiy, Head of the Iraqi Kurdistan mission to the EU;
  • John O'Rourke, Head Desk Officer, Iran, Iraq and Arab Peninsula, EEAS.

Meeting of 28 October 2015, Strasbourg 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the fight against the so called "Daesh": the military dimension, with:
  • Falih Al-Fayadh, Iraqi national security advisor;
  • Jawad Al-Hindawi, Ambassador of Iraq at Brussels;
  • Jafar Mustafa Ali, General of Peshmerga forces;
  • Sirwan Barzani, Senior Peshmerga Commander;
  • Khatoon Al Kheder, Commander of female Peshmerga Units.

Meeting of 9 March 2016, Strasbourg 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the fall of the oil price and its effects on the fight against ISIS with:
  • Minister Falah Mustafa Bakir, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Department of Foreign Relations;
  • H.E. Jawad Kadhim Jawad Al-Chlaihawi, Ambassador of Iraq to the European Union;
  • Mr Javier Nart, MEP.
