Pristatymas ir kompetencija
 

Delegacija ryšiams su Arabijos pusiasaliu padeda EP palaikyti ryšius su pusiasalio valstybėmis (Saudo Arabija, Bahreinu, Jungtiniais Arabų Emyratais, Kuveitu, Omanu, Kataru, Jemenu), taip pat su Persijos įlankos bendradarbiavimo taryba (PĮBT).
Delegacija sudaryta 1979 m. – tuomet, kai Europos Parlamento rinkimai pirmą kartą vyko tiesioginiu balsavimu, vykdydama savo veiklą delegacija didelį dėmesį skiria regiono demokratizacijos procesui, ypač palaikydama ryšius su valstybėmis, turinčiomis veikiančias parlamento institucijas. Be to, vykdant užduotis didelį dėmesį galima skirti institucijos prioritetams, ypač žmogaus teisių srityje.
Delegacija taip pat atidžiai stebi derybas, vykdomas siekiant pasirašyti ES ir PĮBT laisvos prekybos susitarimą, kuriuo turi būti sudarytas naujas institucinis pagrindas abiejų partnerių komerciniams ir politiniams ryšiams palaikyti.
