Meeting of 10 July 2017, Brussels 

The Delegation for relations with Belarus held an In Camera meeting on 10 July 2017 in Brussels for the preparation of their mission to Minsk on 18-19 July 2017.

Meeting of 29 June 2017, Brussels  

The PA Working Group on Belarus in association with the EP Delegation for relations with Belarus, held their 11th meeting on 29 June 2017, in Brussels.
The Agenda included two exchange of views:
  1. on the role of civil society in the field of education and, in particular, in the implementation of the Bologna process in Belarus
    - Mr Vladimir DOUNAEV, Belarusian Independent Bologna Committee
    - Mr Lawrence MEREDITH, Director for Neighbourhood East, Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), European Commission
    -Mr Adam TYSON, Head of Higher Education Unit at DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, European Commission
  2. on the dialogue with Belarus on migration, including labour mobility;
    - Ms Silja KASMANN, International Relations Officer, Desk officer for Belarus, DG Migration and Home Affairs, European Commission.
During the meeting the planning of the working group's work for the second half of 2017 was also discussed.

Meeting of 11 May 2017, Brussels 

The meeting included an exchange of views with on the 26th OSCE PA Annual Session in Minsk on 5-9 July 2017, with:
  • Mr Kent HÄRSTEDT, Vice-Chair of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Chair of its Ad Hoc Working Group on Belarus.

Meeting of 13 October 2016, Brussels 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the outcome of the parliamentary elections in Belarus with:
  • Ms Tana DE ZULUETA, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR long-term election observation mission in Belarus,
  • Mr Kent HÄRSTEDT, Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Coordinator of the OSCE short-term observation missions to Belarus in 2016 and 2015,
  • Mr Thomas MAYR-HARTING, Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and the OSCE, European External Action Service.
An exchange of views was also held with representatives of the opposition from Belarus on the political situation in the country and on the outcome of the legislative elections.

Meeting of 26 May 2016, Brussels 

The Chair provided a debriefing on the EPP political group working visit to Belarus on 15-18 May 2016.
An exchange of views was held in anticipation of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Belarus on 11 September 2016, with:
  • Mr Vladimir MISEV, Election Adviser, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

Meeting of 3 March 2016, Brussels 

The meeting included an exchange of views on the economic situation in Belarus, with:
  • Dr Marek DABROWSKI, Professor of Economics and Research Fellow at the Bruegel think tank.
