The European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its tenth meeting in Strasbourg on 27 March 2019, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:

  1. State of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations, in the presence of representatives of the Serbian Government, the Presidency-in-Office of the Council of the EU, the European Commission and European External Actions Service, and
  2. Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

The European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its eighth meeting in Strasbourg on 13-14 June 2018, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:

· State of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations;

· Developments under the Negotiating Chapter 23, including judiciary, constitutional reform, fundamental rights and freedom of media;

· Developments in economy;

· Recent developments in relations between Belgrade and Pristina;

· Foreign, security and defense policies and cooperation.

The European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its sixth meeting on 20-21 December 2017, in Belgrade, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subject:
• state of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations, in the presence of representatives of the Serbian Government, the Presidency-in-Office of the Council of the EU and the European Commission.

The European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its sixth meeting on 13-14 September 2017, in Strasbourg, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:

  • state of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations,
  • dialogue Belgrade-Pristina,
  • protection of fundamental rights and freedoms,
    with focus on gender equality and family violence,
  • role and functioning of the independent agencies and institutions
    - from legislation to practice,
  • developments in economy, including functioning of the SAA,
  • challenges of the Western Balkan migration route,
  • European Parliament's pre-accession assistance to national parliaments.

The European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its fifth meeting on 22-23 September 2016, in Belgrade, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:
  • accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations,
  • developments in the economy,
  • the reform of judiciary, fundamental rights and freedoms, including freedom of media,
  • the dialogue on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina,
  • foreign, security and defence policies and cooperation,
  • the European Court of Auditors report about use of IPA funds in Serbia.

4th EU-Serbia SAPC, 7-8 October 2015, Strasbourg

The EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its fourth meeting on 7-8 October 2015 in Strasbourg, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Igor ŠOLTES for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:
  • the state of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations,
  • the refugee crisis facing EU and Serbia,
  • the dialogue on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Prishtina,
  • the situation in employment including reforms of the labour law and reductions in the public sector,
  • the protection of human rights and liberties, including freedom of media.

3rd EU-Serbia SAPC, 19-20 March 2015, Belgrade

The EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its third meeting in Belgrade on 19-20 March 2015, co-chaired by Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia delegation.

The members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee addressed the following subjects:
  • state of play of EU-Serbia relations,
  • pre-accession assistance to Serbia - lessons learned from the European Court of Auditors' Special Report 19/2014,
  • Serbia's preparations to open negotiation in chapters 23 and 24 (including a situation of national minorities),
  • dialogue on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina,
  • regional cooperation,
  • developments in the economy.

2nd EU-Serbia SAPC, 26-27 November 2014, Strasbourg

The EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its second meeting on 26-27 November 2014 in Strasbourg, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Vladimir ORLIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

Members of the Committee addressed the following subjects:
  • state of play of EU-Serbia relations,
  • EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy and place of Serbia,
  • Serbia's role in strengthening regional cooperation,
  • comprehensive economic reforms,
  • protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms,
  • fight against corruption and organised crime and reform of the judiciary.

1st EU-Serbia SAPC, 15 November 2013, Belgrade

The EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its 1st meeting on 15 November 2013 in Belgrade, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Eduard KUKAN for the European Parliament Delegation and Mr Ivan ANDRIĆ for the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Delegation.

Members of the Committee addressed:
  • state of play of EU-Serbia relations,
  • economic developments,
  • improving the functioning of the rule of law: reform of the judiciary and the fight against corruption and organised crime,
  • dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina,
  • regional cooperation and region's progress towards the EU membership.
