Motion for a European Parliament resolution on closing down the European Fisheries Control Agency
The European Parliament,
– having regard to Rule 133 of its Rules of Procedure,
A. whereas the European Fisheries Control Agency cost over EUR 9 million in 2015;
B. whereas the agency has not yet been shown to serve any clear purpose;
C. whereas fisheries control policy can be handled perfectly well at Member State level;
1. Calls on the Commission to consider the implications of and procedures for closing down the European Fisheries Control Agency.
