Motion for a European Parliament resolution on integrating refugees into the labour market
The European Parliament,
– having regard to Rule 133 of its Rules of Procedure,
A. whereas Europe is currently faced with the greatest movement of migrants since the Second World War;
B. whereas asylum-seeking refugees need to be integrated into EU countries;
C. whereas the integration and inclusion of refugees is often a delicate subject which encompasses asylum policies, international defence, the labour market and the issue of discrimination;
D. whereas EU policies are fragmented and the competence of the EU itself in a number of fields appears to be rather limited, with conditions governing the access of refugees to labour markets which vary from country to country;
1. Calls on the Commission to develop a project to enable refugees to be integrated into all Member States.
