Ramon Tremosa i Balcells (ALDE), in writing. — I do believe that this is a good agreement for the Senegalese economy. It will help its economy to prosper from a better exploitation of the stocks available, in accordance with the principles of a sustainable fishery and the best practices in the industry.

As this is a key element, I believe that the satellite-based vessel monitoring system will help the local authorities to step up their fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fisheries (IUU). Last but not least, this agreement is a win-win outcome for both Senegal and the EU.
