Accession of Croatia to the Convention on mutual assistance in criminal matters (A8-0156/2015 - Birgit Sippel)

  Siôn Simon (S&D), in writing. ‒ This Commission Recommendation for a Council decision will pave the way for Croatia to complete its accession to the 2000 Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union and its Protocol (‘the MLA Convention’).

It follows from the 2011 Treaty of Accession concerning Croatia, which lists six conventions and protocols in the area of Justice and Home Affairs to which Croatia would accede by way of Council decisions.
