Therese Comodini Cachia (PPE), in writing. ‒ The idea put forward in this report seems to be a good one. The fact that we are trying to promote a shift towards the use of public transport is positive as it reflects an increased awareness of our environment. This type of ticketing would mean that all Europeans would avail of a wider selection of mobility options in an easier manner. Real-time information would obviously have to cope with any disruptions in the service and the idea of being able to make a journey using a single ticket is certainly enticing. The first thing that must be done is obviously to create a national timetable for all transport modes as in this manner we will be able to establish cross-border networking. This is certainly a positive thing and with the right research and cooperation from all members, it can certainly be a success.
