  Charles Goerens, rapporteur. – Madame la Présidente, j'introduis un amendement oral pour un paragraphe 2 bis (nouveau) de la teneur suivante: "considère qu'il n'y a pas lieu de baisser la garde au regard des quelques nouveaux cas d'Ebola, dont le mode de transmission reste encore sujet à interrogation".

  Charles Goerens, rapporteur. – Madame la Présidente, comme la situation en matière de lutte contre le virus Ebola a changé depuis l'adoption de mon rapport en commission du développement, j'ai introduit un amendement oral relatant les chiffres les plus récents disponibles avant le vote en plénière. Il est de la teneur suivante...

‘whereas three new confirmed cases of Ebola virus disease were registered in the week to 18 October, all of which in Guinea; whereas the country had reported zero cases for the previous two weeks; whereas Sierre Leone reported zero cases for a fifth consecutive week; whereas the WHO declared Liberia free of Ebola virus transmission in the human population on 3 September; whereas there have been 28 512 confirmed cases, including 11 313 confirmed deaths.’
