Csaba Sógor (PPE), in writing. ‒ I was glad to vote in favour of this report. I believe that in the context of the low economic growth and persisting high unemployment rates currently witnessed across Europe, it places the right emphasis on the need to implement necessary structural reforms, to boost investments, to ensure fiscal responsibility and to promote flexible labour markets.

The report also rightly points out that sound economic governance is needed in order to ensure that investments made through the European Structural and Investment Funds, and the European Fund for Structural Investments bring about the anticipated results.

Finally, I agree that the Commission should tackle the issue of the Country Specific Recommendations' low implementation level in several Member states as such failings lead to maintaining obstacles to growth and investment-friendly environments.
