Siôn Simon (S&D), in writing. ‒ Although my constituency has a very limited stake in the fisheries industry, being completely landlocked, I do believe that an organised approach for the industry is important for the conservation of this planet. I supported this legislative proposal as it has transposed quite well the decisions that were made at the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna; the proposal mostly contained technical measures relating to the transfer and caging operations of live bluefin tuna and catch controls for this species.
