European Semester for economic policy coordination: employment and social aspects in the Annual Growth Survey 2016 (A8-0031/2016 - Sofia Ribeiro)
Doru-Claudian Frunzulică (S&D), in writing. ‒ Quality jobs, equal opportunities and fair mobility are the basis for European upward social convergence. I believe that socially responsible reforms must be based on solidarity, integration, social justice and fair wealth distribution. Therefore, I support the need for European upward social convergence, the need for quality and inclusive employment and promotion of stability in employment and security in transitions between jobs. More investment in social protection systems is also requested to prevent poverty and inequalities, together with a strong first pension pillar, introduction of minimum incomes, investment in education to fight youth unemployment and support for unemployed people, especially the long-term unemployed.
