Appointment of a new Executive Director of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) (A8-0045/2016 - Roberto Gualtieri)

  David Casa (PPE), in writing. ‒ I voted in favour of the appointment of Fausto Parente as Executive Director of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) because of his relevant experience and the high level of managerial and leadership skills. He was very convincing at the hearing of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs in February and it is certain that EIOPA will continue to function well under his direction.
