Doru-Claudian Frunzulică (S&D), in writing. ‒ The Regulation on key information documents for Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) introduces a key information document or KID (a simple document giving key facts to investors in a clear, comparable and understandable manner) covering not only collective investment schemes but also other ‘packaged’ investment products offered by banks or insurance companies. I consider that revision and improvement of the delegated act is necessary. I support a stronger wording on better information on performance scenarios, in order to avoid misleading the retail investor with over-optimistic scenarios, and the need for a detailed comprehension alert addressed to the investor regarding very risky products.
