  Gerard Batten (EFDD), in writing. ‒ UKIP chose to abstain on this vote because it is such an emotive issue. The right of countries acceding to the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction is extremely important; however this should be done at the will of the individual country and not en bloc by the EU.
