Ustne wyjaśnienia dotyczące głosowania

  Mirosław Piotrowski (ECR). – Panie Przewodniczący! Podczas gdy Unia Europejska zmaga się z brexitem, napływem nielegalnych imigrantów, kryzysem bankowym w wielu krajach członkowskich, komisja LIBE pod przewodnictwem p. Moraesa z uporem godnym lepszej sprawy zajmuje Parlament Europejski prawami osób interseksualnych. W punkcie piątym rezolucji wzywa Komisję i państwa członkowskie do zwiększenia funduszy na działalność organizacji społeczeństwa obywatelskiego zajmujących się osobami interseksualnymi. W punkcie jedenastym chce zmusić państwa członkowskie do promowania praw osób interseksualnych, w tym dzieci. Praktyki takie uważam za niedopuszczalne, dlatego głosowałem przeciwko tej rezolucji.

  Branislav Škripek (ECR). – Mr President, I have to express my opinion on this and I cannot understand why the regressive Left of this Parliament wants us all to waste our time on resolutions that bring confusion, loss of dignity for individuals and fake rights.

This is a medical issue, it’s not a political question.

Babies born with deformed genitalia must be given the best healthcare and the problem must be resolved. There is no politics in this. A world-renowned geneticist has informed me that only one in 200 000 babies is born with this condition, and there is almost never any uncertainty about the true sex. If there were any, a simple chromosome test makes it crystal clear if it’s a boy or girl. So this is unscientific and manipulative on the part of some politicians and gender ideologists here. They want to confuse European citizens, brainwashing them into believing another human right is being denied. It’s not true.

There is no Treaty competence for this, there is no political need for this and I am saddened that more people didn’t do their own research and vote against this terrible resolution.
