The Commission is aware of the two Orders referred to by the Honourable Member. However, the Commission considers that the regime concerning capturing of birds to be used as live decoys by hunters, which includes the decision of the Lombardy Region subject of the two abovementioned Orders, breaches Directive 2009/147/EC on the conservation of wild birds[1]. This allegation forms part of the ongoing infringement procedure 2006/2014.
