Question for written answer E-003060-15
to the Commission
Rule 130
Traian Ungureanu (PPE)

Subject:  Tripartite meeting with Canada under the revised visa reciprocity mechanism
 Answer in writing

On 10 October 2014 the Commission adopted a report assessing the situation of non-reciprocity with certain third countries in the area of visa policy.

The report highlights that the Commission received notifications of non-reciprocity situations from five Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Poland and Romania. These notifications related to five third countries: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Japan and the US.

This report states that in relation with Canada, of the three non-reciprocity cases existing at the time of adoption of the seventh reciprocity report, two continue to exist: Bulgaria and Romania. A first tripartite meeting between Bulgaria and Romania, Canada and the Commission was held on 29 July 2014.

Can the Commission say whether another tripartite meeting has already taken place in 2015?

If not, when is one scheduled to take place?
