 Answer in writing

With a total budget of EUR 400 million for 2007‐2013, the multiannual Culture Programme is able to co-finance around 300 different cultural actions per year.

The aim of the multiannual Culture Programme (2007-2013) was to encourage and support cultural cooperation within Europe in order to bring the European common cultural heritage to the fore.

The programme proposed funding opportunities for all areas of culture, and for all categories of cultural operators contributing to the development of cultural cooperation at European level, with a view to encouraging the emergence of European citizenship.

The Commission is kindly invited to answer the following questions:
1. How much of the total budget was taken up by the Member States?
2. How much did Romania absorb?
