Question for written answer E-006550-15
to the Commission
Rule 130
Bernd Lange (S&D)

Subject:  Goods from third countries in relation to TTIP
 Answer in writing

Prompted by the negotiations on the impending EU-USA free trade agreement, its effects on third countries, less-developed countries in particular, are being discussed more intensively.

1. What goods from third countries, and less-developed countries in particular, are in direct competition with goods traded between the EU and USA?

2. What is the Commission's assessment of the crowding-out effect on these goods?

3. What measures will the Commission take to ensure that goods from third countries suffer no adverse effects?
