E-008649/2015(ASW)
Answer given by Mr Hogan on behalf of the Commission
Question reference: E-008649/2015

Last 24 June 2015 the Russian Ban on EU fruit and vegetables and other foodstuff was extended until August 2016. The continuation of the ban may pose a serious threat of market disturbances and could cause significant price falls due to the fact that an important export market continues to be unavailable.

The Commission is therefore considering prolonging for another year the temporary exceptional support for certain quantities of products of the fruit and vegetables sector, including the peaches and nectarines.
