E-000382-17
Question for written answer E-000382-17
to the Commission
Rule 130
Georgi Pirinski (S&D)

Subject:  Blending of funds from ESIF and EFSI
 Answer in writing

One of the Commission’s stated key objectives for the future implementation of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) is to make use of the opportunity to blend funds from both EFSI and the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF).

Are there currently any instances of such blending, or are any in the pipeline?

In which Member States and in relation to which type of projects does DG REGIO consider that blending ESIF and EFSI funds would be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the respective operational programmes?
