Question for written answer E-001125-17
to the Commission
Rule 130
Rosa D'Amato (EFDD)

 Subject:  Campomarino-Pulsano waterways
 Answer in writing

Integrated Development Programme (IDP) No 12 — ‘Norman — Swabian — Angevin touristic-cultural itinerary’ covers the whole of the Apulia region.

The main aim of the programme is to establish an intricate and integrated network through which to exploit the region’s historical and cultural resources. These resources are characterised on the one hand by significant artistic assets in the form of fortifications and religious architecture from the Norman-Swabian-Angevin period and, on the other hand, by the local landscape and by landmarks which could serve to make the region more competitive and stimulate tourism, including off‐season.

IDP 12 was adopted on 30 November 2004 by virtue of Regional Decree No 1752, while by virtue of Municipal Council Decision No 54 of 30 September 2005, Pulsano Municipal Council adopted the draft agreement for the management of IDP 12 under the Regional Operational Programme for Apulia 2000-2006 — Measure 5.2 ‘Waterways, Cycle tracks, Acoustic Zoning’.

That project is listed in the Anagrafe delle opere incompiute (register of unfinished works)(1), which indicates that 100% of the works have been completed, when in fact the only works to have been performed were in the Municipality of Maruggio.

Can the Commission state whether the funding has been repaid by the Apulian Regional Government?
