E-003512-17
Question for written answer E-003512-17
to the Commission
Rule 130
Dominique Martin (ENF) , Mylène Troszczynski (ENF)

Subject:  Exploitation of young children 50 metres from Commission buildings in Brussels
 Answer in writing

Beggars can often be seen operating in front of the Council building and 50 metres from the Commission on Rue Froissart. Some of them use children, which is abhorrent.

What measures does the Commission — and Commissioner Věra Jourová in particular — intend to take in order to guarantee that each case of begging involving children in the immediate vicinity of the Commission and the European institutions will be investigated by the competent authorities in order to confirm that there is a parental link and that the children are not intoxicated?
