Following the entry into force of the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) on 1 September 2017, the next step to consider is the possibility of Ukraine joining the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA). 1. What does the Commission think about the idea of Ukraine becoming a member of CEFTA? Has this option been discussed with the Ukrainian Government? If so, what stage has been reached in the negotiations? 2. How would Ukraine joining affect current CEFTA members, and how would it affect the development of the South-East Europe regional economic area? 3. How would joining CEFTA affect Ukraine itself? | |||
