Subject:  Documentation regarding Amsterdam's bid for the seat of the European Medicines Agency
 Answer in writing

The Vivaldi site, i.e. the location of the building which is supposed to house the offices of the European Medicines Agency in Amsterdam, following the UK’s decision to leave the EU, is still under construction and undergoing significant delays compared to the dates provided. The Netherlands Government itself, in response to complaints from Italy, has conceded that the completion of the Vivaldi Building will be postponed to November 2019. The United Kingdom has announced its intention to withdraw from the European Union by 29 March 2019.

In the light of the above, and in view of the fact that part of the documentation concerning the Amsterdam bid has been classified:

Will the Commission, with regard to the Amsterdam bid, make public all the documentation submitted by the Netherlands Government for the purposes of the technical and logistics assessment that was conducted by the Commission itself?
Does it not agree that the state of play of the abovementioned work is not consistent with the criteria laid down in the transfer procedure approved last June, and in particular with the first criterion, whereby it must be ensured that the agency can take up its functions at the date of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the Union?
