 Subject:  Promoting more recyclable materials

The Commission adopted a European strategy for plastics in January 2018. This is intended to contribute to a more circular economy.

1. What is the Commission doing to promote the consumption of more recyclable materials (as opposed to plastics) by European citizens?

2. What is the Commission planning to do to spur investment and innovation in materials other than plastics?

3. What specifically does the Commission propose to do to raise the proportion of glass which is collected and to further improve the recyclability of this material?
