Answer given by Mr Moscovici on behalf of the Commission
Question reference: E-001796/2018

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) programme for Greece is scheduled to end on 20 August 2018. Provided that Greece implements the agreed reforms for the final review, it is on track for a successful completion of the programme. That said, in order to ensure a sustainable recovery over the medium term, sound policies need to be sustained and reforms launched under the programme completed.

The precise details of the post-programme support arrangement is one of the issues that will be clarified over the coming weeks, and prior to the conclusion of the programme. Technical and political discussions on the post-programme framework are now ongoing. In this context, any link of debt measures to future policy commitments will also be discussed; this is a matter to be decided by the Eurogroup.
